Hello, again. This is my last post on this blog. I started it when I was only six. Now that I'm nearly eight, I want a new blog that's not only about books. Please come visit me over at Ickle Me Pickle Me.

Snowy Saturday

I went outside today just to watch my cat while she was playing in the backyard.

I decided I would swing,

and take some pictures

for this post.

Make footprints and snow angels like I did yesterday with my friend, Lauren.

This is the house across the street. It's not really crooked. I just took it like that. On purpose.

Since this blog is mostly about reading, my Mom said I should tell you about a few good snowy day books. Here they are:

We read a really great book called The Hobbit for family read aloud that we have every night. We always read really great books for family read aloud. That's my favorite part. I also like that we read at night right before bed. So when I go to sleep I can dream about the book. Sometimes I sleep with a book under my pillow so it can whisper stories in my ear and I can dream about it.

Q. Who was your favorite character?

A. Bilbo, because he was the main character and he was the funniest character. I thought it was funny the way he always wished he was home in his little house with the round door, eating eggs. My second favorite character was Gandalf because he always arrived just in time to save the day.

Q. What was the most exciting part of the book?

A. When Bard killed the dragon. It was very exciting. I was glad he killed Smaug because he had done a lot of bad things that you will find out if you read the book, which I hope you do.

Q. Was there any part you didn't like?

A. Yes. I really didn't like it when Thorin died. Well, I kind of did like that part, but it made me sad.

Q. If you had a share of the dragon's hoard, what would you do with it?

A. I would give it to other people, but I would keep some of it for me. I would give it to my family and to people who need help. I would give it to my family even though they don't exactly need it, but it would be nice to have it.

Q. Would you enjoy reading more books like this one?

A. Yeah, yeah, yeah! Super-duper yeah! We're actually reading one right now called Peter Pan, who I call Peter Poppycock.

This picture is near the end of the book. It's a great picture of Smaug the furious dragon sitting on his hoard. You can see the archenstone, Thorin the son of Thrane's diamond.

Where the Sidewalk Ends

Today I was in my bedroom on my Comfort Island. Comfort Island is when you take everything soft and cozy except your actual bed and pile it all up and read or take a nap. Comfort Island is really great if you also have a brownie. Friends, why don't you try it? It's real easy.

Anyway, I was reading Shel Silverstein by myself. I read and read, and I loved it. Most of his poems are really funny. The pictures are great and make the poems even funnier. If you've never read it, why don't you try it? It's real easy and really funny. If you read it, why don't you tell me if you liked it or not?

At the Library

When we were at the library, I found some really cool books. My favorite from that day is called Cute. It is about two bunnies who really like each other. It was written by Lida Dijkstra. I liked the pictures best.

At the Salon

I took a book with me to the salon, that's when I decided to make this blog. Here are the pictures that I took of a book I love in a cozy spot.

This is an I Spy book that I really enjoy. I love I Spy books because they are hard and fun to do. I enjoy them even more when I do them with a friend. Sometimes I use my gigantic magnifying glass because the pictures we are trying to find are tiny.
